Please join the ACLU of Michigan and Cooley Law School to explore the true cost of imprisonment on our communities.

Dr. Michelle Alexander will speak on the dire consequences of conviction and imprisonment and show how barriers to employment for individuals with convictions hurt both families and taxpayers. This event is free and open to the public. A reception will follow the program.

Professor Alexander holds a joint appointment with the Moritz College of Law and the Kirwan Institute for the Study of Race and Ethnicity. Prior to joining the OSU faculty, she was a member of the Stanford Law School faculty, where she served as Director of the Civil Rights Clinic.
