Clerk Engagement Program

Equal and fair voting is the cornerstone of Democracy. But for Democracy to work, it must work for all of us, no matter who we are or where we live. As we gear up for the 2024 election, we need all of us to ensure every eligible voter has access to the ballot box. In communities across the state, dedicated and hardworking election officials carry out our local and statewide elections.

But they can’t do it alone.

That’s why we launched the Clerk Engagement Program, an innovative way for you to connect with your local election administrators and protect Democracy in 2024.

Local teams of advocates, volunteers, and community leaders grow strong partnerships with your city, township, or county clerk. By getting to know your clerk and building mutual trust, your team can raise election administration concerns, and your clerk can turn to your team for election support. By partnering with your local clerk and other election officials, you help ensure every eligible voter can vote, stop the spread of misinformation, and protect Democracy. • Democracy needs community leaders - Become a driving force to ensure your local community’s voting rights are protected by connecting with your local clerks and like-minded community members.
• Democracy needs voters - Our democracy is strongest when voters make their voices heard. Our freedom to vote is a fundamental right that empowers us to have a say in decisions that impact our lives and communities.
• Democracy needs protection – The stakes are high in 2024, and the future of our democracy is at risk. Ensuring access to the ballot box is critical to protect our civil liberties.

• Learn how to safeguard elections: You’ll attend virtual meetings and learn about our new voting rights and how you can ensure they are being carried out.
• Meet with Clerks: Attend in-person meetings with your local clerk and foster a collaborative partnership, learning what support they need and how you can help.
• Community Meetings: Connect with like-minded people in your neighborhood to decide how you can best ensure elections run smoothly and every eligible voter can vote.
• Contact Legislators: Learn how to talk to your state lawmaker about championing voting rights and protecting Democracy.
• Voter Engagement: Encourage and empower voters in your community to vote their values and have an impact in their communities by turning out.
