The American Civil Liberties Union of Michigan filed an amicus brief in the case of law governing plaintiffs’ conditions of confinement claims during the COVID-19 pandemic. In this case, the circuit court denied the plaintiffs’ an emergency motion for a temporary restraining order and a preliminary injunction. The previous motion sought various measures to improve conditions in the Wayne County Jail and reduce the risk of COVID-19 infection.
