Bio
Pallavi Bugga joined the ACLU of Michigan as a Legal Fellow under the State Supreme Court Initiative in February 2026.
She received her law degree from the University of Michigan Law School. While a law student, she worked in her school’s Pediatric Advocacy Clinic and Immigrant Justice Lab, and served on the boards of the Public Benefits Advocacy Project and the Michigan Voting Project. She additionally assisted with a variety of policy and litigation matters, related primarily to health and civil rights law, through her internships with the California Department of Justice, the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and the ACLU of Northern California. Following law school, she worked on high-impact civil rights litigation related to education, disability rights, and reproductive justice, as the Fiza Quraishi Youth Law Fellow at the National Center for Youth Law.
