Campaign to Ensure Equal Voting Rights for All Citizens

The ACLU of Michigan has spent decades working to challenge regressive voting policies, protect the rights of college students and stand up to intimidating efforts to purge voter rolls. We also work to make sure that each vote counts by opposing voter suppression efforts and seeking to repeal or limit a state “emergency manager” law that has been used to strip voting power from many in Michigan, especially communities of color.

The Campaign to Ensure Equal Voting Rights seeks to ensure an easy and equal right to vote for every citizen and to guarantee that all citizens live in a fully democratic Michigan. To this end, we champion measures that make voting easier and encourage the creation of initiatives that ensure fair, democratic re-districting.
