ABOUT THE ACLU OF MICHIGAN TRANSGENDER ADVOCACY PROJECT

The Transgender Advocacy Project (TAP) brings together transgender individuals and allies from across Michigan to engage in deliberate outreach that furthers the public's understanding of what it means to be "transgender." By doing so, we hope to empower voices in Michigan's transgender community to advocate for equality and security.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED

Presently, TAP is conducting a series of trainings with members of the transgender community who are willing to serve as leaders, educators and spokespeople on a litany of social-justice issues. Participants are provided with the training and resources necessary to allow them to operate effectively as front-line advocates.
