Ashlei Anderson is the Civil Liberties Fellow for the ACLU of Michigan. She is passionate about advocating for the rights of marginalized groups of people in our community and providing solutions to bring equity in our society. She strives to pursue a law career that will empower these communities.
Ashlei earned her B.A. from the University of Michigan where she majored in political science and Afroamerican & African Studies. Before joining the ACLU of Michigan, she interned at the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation in Washington, D.C. as a Research Policy Analyst Intern. She also interned on Capitol Hill with the Congressional Black Caucus. She is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
Some of Ashlei's favorite activities include practicing yoga, trying new recipes, and spending time with her family and friends.
