Jennifer Keller

Title/Position

Chief of Staff

Executive

Jennifer has had the privilege of serving as the ACLU of Michigan’s first Chief of Staff since June 2022.

She first joined the ACLU of Michigan in September 2012 as a member of the Development team, and in 2017 joined the Executive team as the Special Assistant to the Executive Director. In her current role she is responsible for the management of the Executive Director’s office and the Executive Team which includes supporting the work of the Board of Directors, managing and tracking organization wide projects, and leading the development and execution of internal communications.

Growing up in Lansing, she never knew exactly what she wanted to do (possibly setting the record for the number of major changes in college), but always knew it needed to be in service of something bigger than herself. Working at the ACLU of Michigan has been the realization of that core belief. Prior to coming to the ACLU of Michigan, Jennifer worked in the Office of Alumni Relations and Development at Northwestern University and with AmeriCorps at the Allen Neighborhood Center in Lansing, a small neighborhood based non-profit where she focused on food sustainability and fundraising. Jennifer holds a B.A. in International Studies and Economics from Michigan State University.

Free time and hobbies are things of fantasy – but time not spent with the best colleagues around is spent wrangling the three cutest kids she’s ever seen! Being a mom is a hobby, right?
