Daniel Jackson is the Digital Strategist at the ACLU of Michigan, where he leads digital strategy across campaigns, multimedia storytelling, and online advocacy. His work focuses on translating complex policy issues into compelling, accessible content that mobilizes public support for civil liberties, including voting rights, racial justice, and LGBTQ+ equality.

Previously, Daniel served as the Communications Specialist for the ACLU’s Smart Justice Campaign, helping shape public messaging around the movement to end mass incarceration and dismantle systemic racism in the criminal legal system.

Before joining the ACLU, Daniel worked in communications roles throughout the nonprofit world and local government. He was the Senior Communications Manager for the Michigan Minority Supplier Development Council, where he supported communications and public affairs efforts to advance the Council’s mission of building generational wealth in communities of color through large-scale supplier diversity initiatives.

Daniel earned his bachelor’s degree in the humanities from Central Michigan University, with a focus on storytelling, communication, and engaging with audiences from different walks of life.
