Elyse Lopez began her career with the ACLU of Michigan as the Administrative Assistant for the Development, Executive, and Communications teams, and has since moved into the Communciations Associate role.
Elyse graduated from MSU's James Madison College with a B.A. in Social Relations & Policy and a focus on civil rights for Xicanos. She interned for the Michigan Commission on Spanish Speaking Affairs, now called the Michigan Hispanic/Latino Commission, where she fell in love with public service. Elyse worked as IT support for the University of Michigan for about ten years before putting her educational and activist background into good use by transferring into this organization that she has adored since childhood.
