Gabrielle Dresner, MSW, is a dedicated policy strategist at the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Michigan, where she focuses on advancing civil liberties, promoting criminal legal reform, and safeguarding individual privacy in the digital age. Since joining the ACLU in 2022, she has played a key role in shaping policy discussions around surveillance technologies, particularly automated license plate readers, and advocating for stronger protections against their misuse. 

With a background in social work and public policy, Gabrielle brings a human-centered approach to legislative strategy and civic advocacy. Her work is rooted in a commitment to justice, equity, and the responsible use of technology in public safety. 

Gabrielle earned her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Michigan. She continues to contribute to statewide policy conversations and remains committed to building a more just and accountable legal system.
