Kathryn Haroney joined ACLU of Michigan's Legal Department as a paralegal in July 2021. Kathryn comes to the ACLU of Michigan from a direct legal services background, assisting low-income clients in seeking affordable housing, public benefits, immigration relief, criminal record expungement, and safety from domestic abuse. Ever mindful that rights and liberties belong to all and not just those with power and privilege, Kathryn's background in direct legal services inspires her to confront systemic barriers to empower individuals and communities most affected by inequities of justice.
