Lily Eggers is an Organizing Strategist for Southwest Michigan at the ACLU of Michigan. With her Bachelor’s and Master's degrees in Social Work focused on community organizing and policy, Lily has a vast experience base to draw from in climate justice, poverty alleviation, food justice, anti-racism, higher education access, voting rights, and advocacy work across many civil rights issues. Her commitment to social justice and place-based practice is what led Lily to the ACLU of Michigan.
Lily joined the ACLU of Michigan in October of 2022 as an organizer, contributing to the passing of Proposal 3- 2022 (Reproductive Freedom for All) to secure access to reproductive rights in Michigan. From 2023-2024, she worked on a voting rights and democracy project to ensure Michiganders knew about their newly won voting rights and worked with election officials to implement new policies and ensure folks had access to the ballot. In her current role as an Organizing Strategist, Lily works with people in their own communities to educate and organize in pursuit of civil rights and civil liberties protections.
