DETROIT – The American Civil Liberties Union of Michigan (ACLU) announced today that Bonsitu Kitaba-Gaviglio will be its next legal director.

DETROIT – The American Civil Liberties Union of Michigan (ACLU) announced today that Bonsitu Kitaba-Gaviglio will be its next legal director.
As a result of the Court’s rulings, eight Michigan residents represented by the ACLU, and two others who filed separate cases, will have the opportunity to fight their immigration cases from home, surrounded by loved ones.
The illegal detention of the eight Michiganders is a result of a new Trump administration policy that targets potentially millions of immigrants regardless of how long they have lived in the United States or their family and community ties.
